Hi Guys
Just got our first Merc, w208 CLK 320, and noticed that under reasonable braking, well before ABS would kick in, the brake pedal seems to shudder slightly.
Is this normal?
Cheers

A bit more advice please from all you helpful chaps.
Just bought a rather good E320 cabrio Sportline. To me the accelerator pedal seems a bit like hard work to get wound up. It needs a really good prod to get things moving - much more than various other cars I've driven recently even a Honda...
Sometimes when I brake I get a virbation through the brake pedal accompanied by a buzzing sound. This lasts for a few seconds and then stops. It sometimes carries on for a short time after I've released the pedal. Any ideas??
I recently bought my E220 CDI Estate from a VW Dealer. (The mileage was too high for MB to be interested.) The test drive went fine, but it was due an 'A' service, so I insisted on this being done before I would sign. It's a good thing I did because the service cost the VW Dealer £1,362.43...
My newly aquired 124 has long brake pedal travel (its my 5th one so I know!) the car had new brakes last year and they work fine.
I've been told that if your not carefull changing the brakes you can damage the master cylinder, and I should have one put on, before I do that any other ideas?

I know the S63 AMG has "The" Pedals so i got onto Inchcape Mercedes - Benz and asked them.
Got a email from them.
"The AMG pedals are not listed as an accessory for the S500"
They gave me the price and Part No's for the AMG S63.

Hi all, please be gentle as this is my first post!
I am considering fitting the obligatory SLK Evolution peddal rubbers to my C220, could anyone confirm that the part no's are the same for my W204 as are listed in the "how to" thread.
Part numbers as follows :-...
alloy foot rest .
Thinking about this for my w210 I wonder if its available
I might phone the dealer tommrrow but they will probably say no!

Hi the folks i seem to now and then get a vibration from the brace pedal in my 03' Sclass if i turn the radio down i also hear a rumbling noise?
Any idea?
Thanks

My automatic W203 has developed a funny noise when the brake pedal is released, it sounds like a high pitched whine rather that a squeak, it feels like it could be an audible warning alarm. It goes off after a while or if I tap the brake pedal again. Any ideas anyone?
Hi all
I have just ordered the fancy SS and rubber stud pedals but I am a little confused how to fit the Accelerator pedal. The others just slip on but this one is more complicated and I don't want to break anything down there.
Anyone done this that could give me a few pointers?
Cheers
Jacob
At above 40mph a slight vibration is felt and can be seen in the steering wheel. At cruising speed the car is no longer running smoothly. When braking from 70mph vibration is felt thru brake pedal. Problem started after a flat tyre some time ago but has got progressively worse.
So new tyres...
Hi,
I've just aquired an ML55AMG and noticed that the accelerator pedal is wobbly (moves from side to side). Can anyone suggest how it can be rectified?
Can you get detailed "how to" manuals for these cars?
Thanks
Guys,
Quick question about the brakes. I am a new owner (well a few weeks) of the Black E55 1998.
Question is, when I put the foot on the brakes, when stationary, I can feel a small pulse through the pedal. These pulses are just over a second apart and I can certainly feel a little pulse...
My W203's Break pedal has started to squeek, when depressed and it very annoying. Is there any particular part that I can spray with WD40 to stop the noise?
Hi,
although a mercedes fan for years following my dad's trustworthy 123 I purchased an E240 1998. Everything is great with the car, but I am pretty paranoid about every vibration, little noises etc and obviously if there is sth wrong I want ot put it right. All the mechanics find the car...

This whistling immediately stops when the brakes are applied .
