Hi All,
Its a CLK320 V6
Have a bad misfire done the codes (I'll start another thread on this) and, swapped maf, coil, I need to swap out the plugs and leads as a first step and they need doing anyway,
The new plugs are Bosch Super Plus Platinum Iridium (single point) any idea of the gap I...
Finally got under the beastie just now, getting it ready for an oil change tomnorrow after a 60-mile round trip. Very impressed by the gauge of the undertray - is it made from the hull of a scrapped battleship, by any chance? -but less so by how rusty it is, both top and bottom.
The sump plug...
My 1994 C250D with 225,000 miles just started acting up a couple days ago.
Turn the key on and no glow plug light. Hard starting (as you'd expect). After car starts glow plug light comes on for just a bit then goes off.
I did a 60 mile trip yesterday and car drove fine, no hiccups but...
Please could some kind soul tell me the size of the crush/Dowty/copper/alloy (no idea which until I take it out) washer that seals the sump plug to the sump on a '98 E55 M113 engine?
Thank you in anticipation.

Hi,
I am the new owner of a 2004 270 CDI Avantgarde, which I love.
I have searched the forum regarding the Aux-in cable plug location, and am looking to clarify if I have found the right one, as it did not look like any of the others that had been posted.
This is along the sill in the drivers...

I have this marathon job to do soon.
Am I correct in thinking that there is a useful tool / thingy that you can use to help the caps off the spark plug without pulling too much on the plug leads ?
Do the plug leads themselves pull off the ignition modules ?
The last thing I want to do is to bust...

I bought this direct from Mercedes a few weeks back. It has only been used to determine there was nothing wrong with the original!
As such it was fitted to the car for about 3 hours and then removed.
It cost me around £140 so if anybody needs one as new I'd take £80 posted in the UK.
Will...
Right, finally did the injection pump valve seals and at the same time changed all the seals for the fuel pipes.
The problem is that the glow plug cap for no.1 broke of leaving me with just the wire.
I suppose i could solder a wire onto the existing wire and twist the other end of the wire to...
Hi all,
Am converting my non indicator folding adjustable mirrors to the viano style ones which use the same LED indicator as on some W204 cars.
The problem is i want to use the MB plug to connect the lamp to the harness i am installing in the mirror. Problem comes as it is not shown...
I'm like to change the spark plugs on my '98 E55, now on 106k miles, but I strongly suspect they've never been changed since it was built. Hmmm... Plugs in place for fifteen years; what's the chance of them coming out? I don't want to break one or more, and have to take a head (or both...) off...
Hello
Given these cars are almost too complicated for their own good sometimes I wonder if a code reader would be worth investing in?
Some seem to be bluetooth and you can either use a smart phone to see whats going on and what if any faults are there.
Has anyone got such a device for a E...
