problem or adjustment

I have a 1997 SL500. Can anyone help (or point me in the direction of details) of how the soft top should locate on the 129 SL? It open and closes/engages okish but when it is closing I have to manually help engage the offside with a some forward pressure or the offside will just keep trying to...
