On a long trip today about 300 miles. Doing well showing 46.3 MPG but suddenly went from approx range of 230 miles to 98 miles range 96,94,88,80,75 etc fearing a fuel leak i pulled over noleak. Put 25 litres into tank all good about 250 miles then very up and down. Any ideas??
Hi,Strange newbie question here. Has anyone else experienced magically increasing mileage. I bought a low mileage R230 last week and every time I park it up, I go back to the garage to find the mileage shown has increased while it's been parked. Is this a known fault?
The car definitely hasn't...
Hi forum.... as per an earlier post, I have been having bad hesitation issues (W124 230CE (M102.982)). Problem went away after disconnecting the EHA, so I have wired in a mA meter, results are mixed:
Ign on, pre start - +20 mA (seems ok)
Startup - (cold) start at > +20mA, slowly reducing as...
I have a 2005 ML270CDI with 170,000kms on the clock. Never had a problem until recently when it started to toggle in and out of Limp Mode.
We use an ELM327 OBDII scanner with EasyOBD USB software.
When I start the engine, all OBD values (e.g. RPM, coolant temp, intake temp, manifold...
Can anyone tell me if all 2002 SL500 can show the tyre pressures on the in car instrument panel.
My owners manual tells me it can,but unless I am being a Numpty I can't get it to show me?
Fantastic car though well pleased with it,despite all the horror stories on the Internet about owning one.

Hello to all.
A friend of mine has a W211 E270 ('04 afaik).
When driven for about a minute above 100kph /~60mph/ it enters in limp mode. Until then the car has all its power available.
He has star system and everything is fine except the MAF readings are a bit high.
There is a graph, green in...
Hello,
Pretty sure this the right forum for this - Mods please feel free to move if not :-)
I am having an intermittent issue with my car which the garage had claimed they have sorted despite not being able to replicate the fault. :doh:
Occasionally the SatNav (APS50) unit changes it readings...
Hi Everyone,
Just bought a 2002 C180 and had a few potential probs with it.
First off the auto transmission occasionally seems to stick in second then yesterday the EML came on.
Found out the EML light was due to an engine overspeed so read that with the OBD and reset with no reoccurrance...
would anyone know what a decent reading for an air mass meter is on a c270 (w203) CDi ? I'm getting about 400 g/s at idle then 600 when full throttle, either of which readings I think are suspect, and the car is suffering with a real bad lack of power. Although there is no boost pressure i think...
My external temperature gauge is providing some spurious readings as I live in N. Ireland and apparently my external temperature has touched 38 which then drops quite quickly to the high twenty's which again is not common in my neck of the woods.
I have just had the air-con re-gassed and...
just for fun ..
please add to thread, but:
a) reading must be real, not photoshopped or tampered in anyway (yes, you, Shude :));
b) reading must be when you owned, leased or was assigned the car with the reading;
and
c) car must of course must be MB!

Our speedo's are more reliable than most.
Measuring against the GPS on my Road Angel (accurate while at a steady speed), I have found that my MB speedo only over reads by 2-3mph from 30mph to flat out.
I have found that mine is similar, about 2mph...
