reinstating

I rang up Mercedes warranty and they said that the warranty on my E55, ended around June 2006. They said I could reinstate it at a cost of £1285 tier 1, no excess. Any thoughts. Sounds like alot? My thoughts are to leave it, because I suspect if I did make a claim, they will try and put it...
