Unfortunately today I pulled onto the M5 to have a passing van throw a stone up and put a big old chip/crack in the windscreen.
I know looking online anything within a £2 coin radius is repairable however mine is around this size but is splintering into cracks. Is this going to be a new...
I've noticed hardly no or very little conversation on this MB club forum about this, whereas on other similar sites it has been comprehensively covered - don't know why that should be - especially since it is an absolute essential to be aware of as this repair will save thousands of pounds...
There is evidence of rust on the leading edge of my rear wheel arches, so far only on the return lip and so i am going to have a go at repairing this myself. What is involved in removing the rear arch liners? I have all the necessary rust removal tools, some Kurust and top coat and lacquer plus...
This happened last week - I have 2 cm clearance each side of my garage door frame and after 2 1/2 years the inevitable happened:
I was gutted, however after around an hour of elbow grease + Meguiars Ultimate Cut Compound I have removed 98%:
Amazingly it there are no dents at...
Hi All
I'm working on a w124 E320 coupe. I need to repair the rear arches due to rust. I can only seem to find arch repair panels for a saloon. Can you tell me if these are compatible with the coupe? Do the coupe and saloon have the same arch profile?
Thanks
Ash
Have just found a small crack in the sump pan, probably due to hitting one too many speed bumps with this low car. MB price for the part is circa £280, a couple on ebay range from £100-£130. I wouldn't mind the latter but just checked WIS and it's not a simple bolt on - bolt off. The labour...

This week I took my car into MB Bromley for a repair with a starting issue.
Initial diagnosis - steering lock. £1300.
I argued that this was a ridiculous price and was answered with a 'discount' down to £1000. (hmmm)
Later that day a 'video' arrives in...
Hi all,
So before christmas I had a little bump when a car pulled out on me on a roundabout, no big deal the other party took responsibility and my insurers said they would fix it via their approved body shop. Last Thursday they took my car in for repair, courtesy car provided by fleet via...
Got pump off yesterday and stripped it out. Took longest to clean up all surfaces than to fit the repair kit.
Only real problem I encountered was fact that she would not start and i had to fully charge my battery twice.
First thing this morning still no joy. Who said these cars self bleed...
I have fuel leaking from one of the three ports on my High Pressure Fuel Pump.
I have decided to overhaul the pump using the MB seal kit.
However there appears to be two different numbers banded about on the forums?
Part Number: A 000 078 06 80 to be used on pumps produced up to 17/7/2001...
Looking to replace both front bushes, merc part number MA211 333 29 14' any idea of the best place to get these from. Best price wise. Bush extracter kit if there is one for these ?. Doesn't look much of a job, anything specific I should be aware of ?. Any input very much appreciated. Thanks all.

Many thanks
Hi Folks Merry Christmas,
Anyhow in an attempt to ruin my Xmas I managed to scratch my new GLC whilst reversing round the corner of the house epic :fail. Managed to dent the panel with the fuel cap on it and put deep gouges in the bumper panel and black wheel arch trim. Image attached...
Just had my rear bumper repaired pretty much on-the-spot, and in less time and at a lower cost than originally quoted. What could have been a £600-£700 bill from a dealer turned out to be a £50 job at Damage Undone in Melksham, Wiltshire and I couldn't be any happier with the result.
