As some of you may recall, I have had a an involvement with Bentley’s quicker cars for some time, and I confess, to building a silborn super SUV.
However, this takes the ‘challenging’ Bentayga to whole new level of aesthetic and cultural beauty…..
Bentley Bentayga 4.0 (AWD) 5dr...
Kwik Fit re-gased a few months ago and told me there are no leaks.
Month later...out of gas.
Mercedes had a look, re-gassed and said there are no leaks and Kwik Fit did not do it correctly.
Month later...out of gas.
Went back to Mercedes who tell me that three...
My 211 2003 E270cdi has had front wheel wobble for a while now. As soon as it goes over some bumps in the road, the front right wheel starts wobbling making the steering erratic. Also the steering becomes incredibly easy to turn and then all of sudden very stiff, then randomly will...
I want to thank everyone who helped me try and get my E300 TD back on the road.:thumb:
Unfortunately she beat me and I sold her last Saturday :fail
I still have my E320 CDI and I WILL NOT be working on the pump on this car:ban:
Thanks again everyone.
I've had the diesel pump replaced. The first 20 seconds the car sounded like it was fixed, but then unfortunately the car goes back to running like a pig.
It is now smoking beyond belief, won't idle, knocking and is slow to rev up.
The timing and pump has been checked and rechecked.
The timing is set at 14o!
The pump is set 180o!
The dots on the cam cogs are lined up!
The car is not knocking so much and idling better and has torque enough to move it's self in drive(without throttle), however what we have now is;
Still not smooth.
With reference is my previous thread.
Is it possible that the diesel pump timing could out by 180 degrees even though the engine timing is spot on and the pump was locked when fitted?
All thoughts greatly appreciated. Shane.
The diesel pump saga continue's
Thanks to everyone for their help. The timing is now is set perfectly, unfortunately the car is still running like a pig :fail
The symptoms are; idles on 6 cylinders, lazy and sluggish throttle response, no power and a bit of top end knocking.
I will try to keep this short, but got to get it off my chest.
We moved into our house over 6 years ago. With the nearest exchange over 7km away, the internet speeds were always horrendous, with just over 1mb/s on a good day.
Early August I got a circular from BT advising that the FTTC is now...
As some of my have notice on previous threads I have a little problem in my Vito with poor performance, occasional limp mode, big puff of white smoke on startup from cold, small amount of white smoke when warm.
When I bought the van the waste gate on the turbo had been cable tied open but the...
Hi everyone my name is Michael and I have just joined having just bought a Mercedes SL350 what an amazing drive, anyway got comprehensive cover from Saga for 212 pounds,ok I am 67 and have full no claims but what a premium so if you like the price give them a call.
Had the MB insured with Saga for quite a while now, each year I get the renewal notice and a Price Match Guarantee - get a "like for like" quote better than theirs and they'll beat it by at least £1.
So, each year I try the 3 main comparison sites then phone Saga. In past years the best quote...
Thought this may be useful for someone...?
After having my gearbox control unit and the steering wheel buttons/gear stick electronically re-united with each other as on my other thread and now the miles increase (now done 1000 miles since the fix and TCU reset) another fault has become...
/more of a vent than genuine question - -but happy to listen to any advice given :)
I've been looking for a Westfield for 6 months now. No luck. Simply I'm on a budget of only £6k but yet have a semi-decent spec in mind. One or two have come up, but they sell faster than I can move.
Do not be quick to pass judgement here, because I can tell you,it takes about 3 seconds to mis-fuel a car - and there by the grace of God go all.I think this is the worst of experiences,so if I share it on the forum, hopefully,it will spare others the angst ridden weekend I had - so setting of to...
1995 E280 S124 now at 132,000. This car has recurrent problems with a misfire. I have been through the old paperwork from the previous owner and I have had the car for just under 1 year. The story so far:
April 2007 at 107,000 Ignition coil x1
December 2007 at 116,000 Ignition coil x1. Repairs...
You might recall me having a turbo go on me a few weeks back.
I went to the dealers and they quoted me 6.5k for turbo refit and some work on abc pipe and then front ball joints and camber arms.
I got a new turbo fitted, tested ok for about 1 hour.
Its been in for about 3 weeks...
As you all may know I bought Peter's C43 from him. The roof lining was damaged in the hands of MB Brenford while they were doing a rust repair to the sunfoof when Peter owned it. They re-covered it with alancantara poorly.
The roof lining was sagging badly as were the pillar trims etc. Peter...
I have a c270 cdi about 4 months old, a few weeks ago (when it got cold) it started for 2 seconds then stopped, and wouldn't start. being under warranty from the dealer I got it towed and my local garage replaced the fuel pump, mostly covered by warranty but still cost me £110, i was happy...
