scratches

I have fine scratches on the windscreen, caused by the wiper, same direction etc etc. Is it possible to polish a windscreen? How much:crazy: Or could i do it my self? :p Something like T-Cut? I'm guessing this would actually make it worse!

I have a few annoying small scratches and car park dinks on my ML. Ideally, I'd like to find a a bodyshop nearby (SE London/Kent) that I can take to without being ripped off or messed about - ensuring repeat business. ..or shall I risk the Halfords service? Anyone tried them?
