W201 shocks & rear sphere life

Trying to sort all that will need to be done on my 190 2.5 16 suspension. The spheres were fitted just over three years ago - time for a change when everything else is being done? The shocks look old, but aren't leaking. Records show the n/s/r shock changed in 2008, time to refresh all?

    Anschier shocks

Hi All, Been considering replacing the tired shocks on my '98 E320 . ECP have shocks branded "Anschier" at £20.47 each or the rears and £53.40 for the fronts. Seems too cheap and probably is. I would be interested to know if anyone has used these shocks and any comments/opinions. If the vehicle...

Hi, I've a 2002 E220 CDI S210 (estate). The rear suspension is self levelling - hydraulic type and in the recent MOT, there is an advice of light oil misting on the rear shocks. The rear shocks are quite expensive, so my local mechanic has asked me to check if there are any cheaper...

What a difference new shocks have made

Our current E arrived with 124,000 on the clock and I knew when test driving it we would need to replace some suspension components as there was the odd rattle and knock from the front end. Various front ball joins and control arms later the front end seemed more 'together' but there was...

OE v Sachs aftermarket shocks on a 211 sport

ECP only list one Sachs front shock for all 211's whilst MB have a specific variant for the sport. Given the current ones are likely very tired at 126k miles so I'm reasoning that anything new must be better, what's the jury's verdict on new OE v the (much cheaper) Sachs aftermarket equivalent?
