hi there
I recently went to visit my grandad and he asked if i could service his little renault clio which also had the engine check light on, as i mainly service my own cars and have a scanner, i agreed and left my car at his and took his back to mine (where i have all my tools)
Anyway all...
I bought these a year ago for my SL280 and found that thay had already been changed. The recent thread in the engine section reminded me I had them.
I paid Around £100 for the set, they are genuine MB parts, and the type used in the M112 engines.
£70.
Wheres best to get sparkplugs for the 320 v6, mine are due so I went to maccess and they were 5.35+vat per plug, thats ridiculous! £75.43 just for plugs. I could service my a class at least twice using synthetic oil for that much money.
Ive got a slight misfire and thinking about it, the plugs could probably do with changing.
The EPC shows 3 brands available for my model, which should I go for?
BOSCH F8 DC4
BERU 14F-8 DU4
CHAMPION C11YCC
Or should I go for something totally different?
Hi, newbie here. I have a CLK320 2003 which I have owned since new. All servicing has been done by local Merc dealer. I now want to do as much as possible myself. I have just had a "B" service and been quoted silly money to change the spark plugs, is this a job I can easily do myself. I am an...
Thanks to Pammy I replaced my air filter and spark plugs today. The spark plugs are causing some concern. All plugs were apparently changed by the main Mercedes dealer about 12 months ago. The old plugs look like the picture attached.
This type of damage is caused 'due to the effects...
So, my car is (finally) getting restarted and back on the road after all the issues with insurance companies et al. Last night, I put the battery on charge, and this morning put it in the car. No result; I grab my voltmeter, and test it, just over 10 volts... hmmm. Grab a hygrometer, one of the...
I recently took my car for a service and was quoted £180 pounds to replace the spark plugs, I don't mind paying for servicing, but spark plugs are spark plugs and I have enough knowledge to know how to fit them.
Upon removing the kompressor plate I found the plugs were located behing some...
I purchased a set of Magnecor spark plug leads for my 560 SEC some while back now. The original plug leads had a resistor built into the end caps on the plug end, but the leads i fitted do not have them.
I was having a few bits fixed on my SEC by a very good friend, Talbir (who some of you...
Seeing uumode's thread prompted me,
I bought these a while back for the SL, in the end I sold it just before the service was due.
Genuine MB plugs, i think they are ment to last around 50,000 miles.
There is 12 of them, enough for the v6's, but the same type as the v8's.
I paid a...
Hi,
I have just had my 2000 S500 serviced at a dealer - very reasonable 400 quid for B-service. However they suggested a spark plug change is due sometime, but the cost is around 200 pounds as there are 16 plugs and it is around 2 hrs labour. Does anyone have an idea of how long the originals...
Hi,
I'm planning to change(DIY) spark plug on my W202 97 next weekend. Do I
have to disconnect the battery terminal before start the job. Next question is, can I use electrical contact cleaner to clean MAF. Thanks.
I have 16 of these - brand new boxed. Fit all M113 engines I believe - 43, 500, 55. I paid £6.99 per plug from here
Part number is BKR5EIX, no doubt they will fit other cars. £80 + delivery if needed.
Edit:
No longer available.
I am about to change the spark plugs in my e220 coupe. Like all older models the spark plug technology has moved on.
