Hi All, I have a W246 which has an intermittent issue with the fuel filler cap popping open sometimes leaving it flapping around.
At first I thought someone had bumped it in car park but this weekend a couple of times its sprung open when car was unlocked, anyone seen this before ?
It seems...
I've had the 124 for a couple of months now and I'm loving every moment of it :D. But in preparation for split rims I'm thinking of lowering it. I've taken it to two MB specialist garages now and both of them told me not to lower it as it will ruin the ride. What are your thoughts? any chance of...
The local Mercedes dealer had my car in for a free health check. I figured it couldn't hurt as I've only had it a few weeks and the next service isn't due for 5000 miles.
They noted that one of the front suspension springs had broken so I'm guessing I need to replace both to be on the safe...
Just been told coil spring has snapped on driver side. Must admit I havent noticed any different?
Any idea how much to replace?
Is it OK to drive car in the meantime?
Which are best springs to drop an s124?
H&R? Euro performance seem to list a few different ones, don't want a massive drop and would like to keep the ride reasonably smooth.
Just sold my 2008 Vito 120 CDI Sport (639).
Rather embarrassing for the new owner to find what looks like a piece of suspension spring on the drive where the van had been parked.
Of course it could have come from my 2005 CLK 320 (W209).
We looked at both vehicles but couldn't see...
Today have found out that both front springs on my C class are broken. As far as I could remember I've changed them both 2 years ago.Now I suspect the Mot center where the car was booked in this January. They have hydrolic jacks to rigorously check for plays. What's your thoughts on that matter?Its...
If I can detect that one side of my car is sitting lower than the other, but other people have to be encouraged to notice it should I:
A Replace all springs and shocks at once
B Ignore it since the car rides beautifully
C Some compromise between these extremes.
It's not road camber...
Hi All,
I have been searching the net for some new rear springs for my 2005 slk350 with sports suspension, I can find plenty for slk350 with standard suspension but not for slk350 with the sports suspension package
can anyone tell me where to buy them from in the UK without going to MB...
My recently purchased 500 SE has recently had new front shocks and springs, which is nice.
However the springs can't be the right ones (compared to lots of other 126's which i've looked at to check!) as the height is WAY too high, I can get my fist in the gap with ease.
Where is the best...
HI guys.
So, in preparation for the fitment if 18 inch amg woodblock alloys I'm going to order some springs.
There seem to be loads on eBay ranging from c120 upto 230. My thoughts are on the eibach ones that lower about 40mm.
Can I get some guidance on why there's a price variance and any...
hi all - has anyone got a 'how to' on changing the front and rear springs on a '99 clk 230? or can point me in the right direction for one? TIA :thumb::thumb:
I'm looking for a set if either shivers and springs or simply springs for my 1990 300ce.
I will be fitting 18" amg monoblock alloys so don't need a drastic kit.
Let me know if anyone has anything of interest.
Cheers
Scott
These are the 82mm pins fitted to the ATE calipers. Mine are OK, but having stripped and refinished the calipers I wanted to do the job right. Searched various sites without any luck, any help would be welcome.
Why do pads sets never come with Pins and anti rattle Springs anymore?
hi, i need one front and one rear offside springs for my '95 e200 estate. it's an automatic with self levelling suspension and does not have air con. if anyone is breaking up an e200 estate please let me know asap.
ive ordered myself some new wheels for my sports coupe going for 18s with 8j on the front and 9j on the rear, also decided it would be a good time to lower it as it feels a bit bouncy (or choppy in the words of james may) at high speeds no higher than 70mph of course :) whilst looking at some...
Having looked at various websites, there seems to be a few different part numbers quoted - the position on Eibach springs appears to be similarly inconsistent. I'm looking for springs only.
Although the H&R online catalogue doesn't refer to it (link below), I think 29392-1 is the right part...
