I have a number of really annoying stone chips on the bonnet - Obsidian black with the white primer showing.
Some have been touched up previously but it looks like I've done it using the brush out of Her Ladyship's nail polish bottles
My local travelling bodywork guy (did super job on...

Going on a day out in the Peak District on Friday. Does anyone know of any stone circles there that have relatively easy walking access to, we're taking a pensioner along and he can't manage much more than about 200/400 metres.
I've googled them but info is a little patchy.
Hi all,
I know stone chips are the bane of our lives & my car is mint apart from the dreaded peril of a smattering of chips along the front, and an gritty impression left by a concrete post to the rear bumper (previous owner, don't ask!)
I don't want to wreck my pride & joy, so wondering if...
So we've finally had a couple of consecutive dry days here in surrey.so decided to address the ever increasing amountsof stone chips on my bonnet/front bumper/around headlamps. It's been a tedious job but hopefully a worthwhile one once i've rubbed down the excess paint & laquered tommorrow.Apart...
My 80,000 mile c class has a number of stone chips. I try to touch them in with touch up paint to avoid corrosion but they still annoy me. Does Elite fix stonechips or can you show us what to do?? Cheers
my beauty is just over 2 years old & has 3 or 4 quite deep stone chips on the bonnet :(
i know DIY repair doesn't look too great, but i don't want to leave them for much longer.
i've found these kits on ebay - anybody know of or used any of them? (i think the 2nd one is the official MB...
Hi All,
Hoping you can shed some light on this:
I was quoted (ball park figure) of £800-900 to respray a lot of my Merc CLK, my girlfriend was quoted £1,500 to respray the rear quarter and bonnet of her A Class.
The garage quoting £1500 stated that if any garage was quoting less than that...
Having given my car a clean - was shocked at the number of stonechips....have a MB paint stick - but doesnt really do the the job. Am I using it wrongly or is it a case of making do and saving for a bonnet re-spray...seems an extreme measure.
Drat:crazy:
Drove up from the coast to Stafford (still here) last night and picked up one all mighty 'crack' from something which upon inspection has given the merc a finger nail sized indentation and two scratches just off center of the bonnet, just at the lower lip.
Haven't got any...
Watched a chap removing stone chips from a bonnet of a black Mercedes, {obviously a professional} He didn’t use any paint only some sort of chemical or polish, the chips just disappeared. He wouldn’t say how it worked or what he used.
Has anyone else seen this? If so how doe’s it work and what...
Apologies if this contravenes the rules as commercial posting (if it does feel free to remove it).
I'm clearing out a few odds and ends to make room for new stock and have some special offers available see the following linky's.....

My w203 has been getting a fettle as its going to be used as a limo for a do tomorrow. whilst cleaning it and polishing it I have been shocked by how bad the stone chips are. I started painting them in, which is OK (ish) on the bigger ones but on the million little ones they are like a rash...
Whilst trying to paint over some stone chips on my bonnet I found that the new paint was leaving a very dark perimeter edge. It's hard to explain sorry, but the car is silver, the new paint matches quite well, but the edges of the new paint seem to be many shades darker.
Any suggestions or...
I have two stone chips on the bonnet of the car which have started to go rusty.
If I want to maintain the Mobilo do I need to get the repairs done at a MB approved paint shop?
If I didn't use an MB approved paint shop will Mobilo still be unaffected should any other body panel start to...
yesterday afternoon i gave my car ('96 r129)a good wash and applied some TLC (wax and polish) and the small stone chips on the bonnet stood out a bit.
i am wondering what is the best way of treating these, i would say in total there are about 10-12 small stone chips (all less than 3mm in...
Hi,
Would anyone be able to recommend a Stone Chip repairer in the south east -preferably near Brentwood, Essex.
I've left a message with Chips Away for a week now - heard nothing.
Thanks,
Jonathon.
