super diesel

Sorry if this is an old topic, couldn't find anything specific in a search. Has anyone ever experienced improved mpg using 'super' diesel fuels? It used to make 15-20% difference to my old petrol mpg, although the car was designed for 98(95 was ok). There's a thread in the AMG section...
