switzerland or germany

Currently in SW Germany by lake Constance. how nice to have minus 10 degrees, snow everywhere and yet still have clear and dry roads to move around on. Was mildly concerned when Swiss lady at the car hire place said "oh, you've ordered summer tyres...wouldn't you prefer winter ones?" Of course...
