We just had a new fuel tank fitted in our 21 yr old E280 estate. Now I have a constant whirr from the fuel pump and fuel starvation particularly on corners and once a complete stall. What should I do now and should we have replaced the fuel pump. Will it clear through?? Help
Here's a question...
How does a second fuel tank get connected?
I.e. does it need it's own petrol pump, or is there a way to link it to the primary tank? Is it just gravity fed to the main tank?
Anyone with some experience in the area willing to give me a primer?
Trying to decide if...
Just curious what other owners are getting
Is 350-400 on a tank around the town acceptable?
Trip computer shows average mpg from 44000 miles 30.5mpg
What are your figures?
Could owners kindly post up how many litres they have manged to get into the vehicle when brimming it.
Think that I was on fumes as pump clicked off at just over a 100l.
C270cdi Can anyone tell what the fuel pump in the tank is for? and when it is meant to operate? and also how to check if it is working correctly? Trying to sort out a P1187 code problem.

from the article:
You could say that this Mercedes-Benz 190E has light water damage after these guys obliterated its interior with a 1,000 bar Hammelmann tank cleaning unit.

Has anybody had trouble with the fuel level sender in the tank. I have recently got a 2004 ML270 and every now and again the engine will not start until I put fuel into the tank BUT the fuel gauge indicates I have 1/4 tank , would it be that I need to replace the sender/ float system in the tank ?
It doesn't seem to be the coolant as there's a tank for that, or the brake or power steering fluid.
Whatever it is is thicker than water, and it gets very hot.
On the dip it's below min, so I'm keen to know!
Thanks.

I need help replacing my 'Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor' in my 03 C240 BASE. Is the sensor located under the rear seat? Is it on top do I need to depressurize and pull the whole assembly?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Yesterday I very foolishly decided to test the accuracy of the fuel computer in my CLK270 CDI. It turns out it is very accurate, and when it says you have 0 miles to empty, you do!

I have notice some diesel coming from just inside the driver side rear wheel . Only a small amount but I can feel it wet through a small hole in the cowling underneath. Garage checked it and cleaned it but can find no problem. Has anybody had a similar experience in this very hot weather?
