Hi,
I have recently had my SL500 (91) serviced (indy garage not MB). Since being serviced i have experienced a problem with the throttle. The pedal goes hard at about the midway point and the car will not go above 50mph!!!! This is not what I bought a 5 litre V8 for!!!! When you...
Hi,
Anyone know where the THROTTLE PEDAL POSITION B SWITCH SENSOR is located.
The thottle pedal sometimes does not respond and when it does it will only rev upto 2000 rpm + I have changed the complete pedal system with no joy? The problem does not happen all the time and when it does if...

Hi all,
Recently my W124 E220's throttle had became rather rough when you step on it. It used to be quite smooth so I was thinking whether it needs some lubrication on the throttle cable (is that what you call it?). If so, would anyone please give me some details as how to do it and what sort...

This is going to sound like a really dumb question but why does the throttle pedal on my 2001 w210 click regularly when depressed/released etc.? Is it supposed to and if so for what purpose??

My car is currently extremely poorly, and after consulting a local Bosch expert/Mercedes mechanic, he is almost 100% sure that the problem lies with the throttle actuator. He also hinted that a throttle actuator would be extremely expensive to replace...

It sems that its maybe not the throttle sticking, it just gives that impression, what is actually happening is: when the clutch is pressed, going either up through or down gears the engine revs rise momentarily which fooled me into thinking it was the throttle, maybe it still is but whatever it...

I just wanted to ask those in the know, how does the accelerator work on W202's? are they a traditional direct link to the engine, or is it more like 'fly-by-wire' i.e. the accelerator sends a signal to the ECU which then does the necessary.
My car lost power again this morning but right at...
All,
I need to get to the return spring on my 93 320CE.
It looks like a lot of the top of the engine needs to come off to be able to get at it (inlet manifold etc..etc..etc)......
Anyone done this? Is there an easy way?
