I took a trip up to see Acid@MSL yesterday to book my car in for a remap and what we both thought would be a DPF removal. When I left there I thought it would b e a good opportunity to do a back to back comparison of the two journeys one without a map and one with. So I reset the trip and...
This is the first performance auto I've had and up until now its been an OK experience, but today it caught me out for the first time.
Pulled up behind an Astra at a set of lights, both in the right hand lane with a lorry in the left. The lights changed and we both set off, the Astra going...
A great day, long time coming, for me up at Stan's Auto services in South Shields with the installation of the iPE System designed usually for Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, C63's and a few other exotic cars. This meant a little jiggery pokery with cutting and welding to make it fit my car but the...
Just thought I would share my experience as it might be usefull to some.
Well firstly, jesus the filters are stupidly expensive. I have paid £230 For just the Oil, fuel, cabin and 2 air filters at the dealers. I bought the oil from ECP, 10 litre (x2 5 litre) of Mobil 1 ESP 5W30 for £72...

Just to ask how the proposed cruise into Sussex went today, ??, my apologies to you all who ventured down here, as you were only half a mile from me, but work commitments interfered with my day, and only got the AA to start my car at 4PM, I do hope you all had a good time and a real nice lunch...

I am loosing power after a blast so pump needed .
Hello everyone,
I have just joined the forum, although I have had a number of MB in the last few decades I did stray away for a while. Now back again looking for a S class this time, as you can see from my post this morning in the general section I do have a number of questions which I will...
Been out in my recently acquired SL today... Having owned various segments of cars over the years, this is my first larger GT type, and my first impressions are good. She's a smooth cruiser that IMO looks timeless, not fast or nimble but still rewarding and punchy.
Looking forward to racking...
I know it sounds crazy but true.
OK, it was all downhill in the Pyrenees, but over a 10 mile run from cold, i saw that on the OBD. I rarely touched the accelerator.
Going back the other way, same journey I got 17:crazy:
Bit of fun nothing more.
Well according to the mechanic that worked on my car told me that the gearbox only had around 1-1.5 litre of oil in it and that is not including the oil inside torque convertor.
He also said that they don't change the oil inside the torque convertor as it's "unnecessary'".
After coming home, I...
Bored this morning. So decided to give the merc and the wives car a clean. After a two hour round trip out on thurs night it was covered in crap!! The merc that is.
Got the jet wash set up. Snow foamed em both. Left em to dwell then rinsed em both. Ran out of snow foam!! What was left in the...
Just a heads up folks. The one at MB World today is not an Edition 1 as hoped, it's a normal GT S finished in the designo iridium silver magno(matt) with a grey/black leather interior.
Also to say it is only here for today, it returns back to Germany afterwards. There is hope that MB World will...
Bentley Continental Flying Spur in Mulliner spec, 2006. 550bhp and 0-60 in 4.9 secs.
Spent a lot of time looking for the right car, weighing up the pros and cons of an old-ish W12 6.0 litre car versus a newer S class, but in the end the overall looks, luxury and power won me over.
Did I do...
Driving home from work today on the M5 , southbound between Gordano and Clevedon. I was in lane 3 , in a line of traffic, overtaking vehicles in lane 2. On this stretch of the M5 there are 4 lanes , with the outside lane closing down (well posted for 500 yards) . Almost at the very end of lane 4...
