    E55 Engine 'Surging' cutting out on idle

    99 W210 prefacelift 5.5 V8 AMG Had this problem in recent month where the engine is surging very random, from 2k rev poodling at 40 or under hard acceleration - the revs just die for 2 seconds then pick up again. Even when doing 70mph you can feel the car surging, but it's all so random...

    E320CDI engine 'surging' on light throttle setting

    Hi all, any opinions on this one please? My 320CDI has an unusual issue where the engine hunts up and down a little when moving fairly slowly and on very light throttle settings.
