I hope this is the right forum.
My oldish 240td (120k kms total from new and my car from new) has an auto box that slips. Most likely it is due to a service by a Bosch injection pump outfit that doesn't understand the intricacies of the vacuum control system. I am not sure what all the pipes...
Hi all,
I really need some help trying to fathom the whole vacuum system on my 1983 500SL.
I have just aquired the car after the previous owner passed away. He was part way through a bit of renovation and the car had to be thrown together a bit to sell. Most things I can sort out, but I...
Not a "which model" or anything like that, but does anyone know if it's possible to slow the motor down on one using a dimmer type switch?
I have a little Vax Mach8 which is currently being used as part of a dust extraction system in a blast cabinet, though at the moment it's much too powerful...
Hi Everyone,
I have a S500L 2000 (W220).
Please check the video from the link below.

After starting the vehicle, the PSE pump continues to operate without stopping the Movie.
I listened carefully to hearing the sound from the air tube, but I couldn't hear the...
Hi guys what car vacs are you using, I've been looking and would love to get the Dyson cordless but can't justify the price tag as it'll only be used on mine and the wife's car ho and the stairs

Old sausage fingers strikes again. Whilst removing the headlights from my 124, to clean the glass. I managed to break the vacuum line connector flush with the headlight. This was actually my wife's fault as I knew she was going to complain about me cleaning the headlight glass in the...
Morning!
Was working on the wife's slk yesterday as it had the usual c/l problems.
Sorted the drivers door, it had broken on the knuckle and bodged by creating a tube out of gaffer tape???
So with the help of narrow pipe (from a wd40 spray can) and some plastic heatshrink tubes job done...
Hi Guys
Just a quick one, (I hope).
I've bought a used vacuum pump to replace mine as I'm having some locking issues with the boot.
Q. Does the replacement unit need to be programmed in or can I simply swap over the air and two electrical connectors?
Cheers

From this VIN WDB12318312013266 can someone tell me which autobox is fitted? It has the OM616 engine.
The core problem is adjusting the vacuum for the auto shift but I can't find a vacuum diagram which matches exactly what I have. Anyone have one by chance?
thanks for any help or pointers
Been having some hesitant starting issues with my w124 230e (m102)

Hi All,
I recently had some work done at a local garage on my W204 220Cdi (they changed the EGR Cooler and stop some blows from it) however i now have a pipe left off which they said they thought vented to atmosphere..
The pipe is sucking rather than blowing. Long and short is, I think...
Hello, I'm the owner of an E200, 2000, 85kw Mercedes Benz. I clean the egr past days and after I set up all the parts again I noticed that the engine have other sound and it doesn't sounds like it use to be. Today I noticed that the part 0005450427 that I identify as Vacuum pressure converter is...
Trying to work out the vacuum on the W126. Looks like the central locking, unlike on the W123, is fed from a pump in the boot.
However, there are still several vacuum connections in the engine bay - I know one of them is headlight aim, but that is not working - so I suspect leaks in the...
My wife asked me to vacuum the house and ours is broken......well I couldn't get it going..

Hello,
I recently changed my HDI lights over for standard ones and this threw the car into limp mode. I drove it like this for a month or so before reading that it might be a problem with the vacuum system for the headlights, and sure enough there was a vacuum hose that had been disconnected...
Hi guys
I'm just in the process of changing my central locking Vacuum Pump,
Now I disconnected everything but the yellow tube are kinda stuck in place, do I have just to pull them out ?? Or is there something special you have to do to release them???
Many thanks
Peter
Hi all,
I've been servicing my (new to me) E220 Coupe this morning and I've found a rogue vacuum hose along the passenger side wing that isn't connected to anything. If you look inside the end it looks like it has a little steel basket filter inside.
Here is the offending item:
It...
