vibration

Hi all! Just fitted a set of 4 AMG 17" rims with tyres on my car w124 230E prefacelift. I used to have factory stock rims before, steel wheels 15" and never had any sort of steering wheel vibraion at top speed.. These have now been fitted on and i now have very slight steering wheel wobble...

Have just bought 1995 W124 300d which has vibration problem on starting & stopping engine and to a lesser extent whilst running. 101k on clock. Any suggestions regarding cause and rectifying the problem ? (have had a W124 E200 before - smooth as silk!)

Got a strange vibration at 40mph, dont think its wheel balance or bearings etc. Strangely enough it always seems worse when starting off from cold and is not so pronounced when car is warmed up. Has any one experienced similar, or have any ideas? :p
