I currently have the engine and gearbox out of my 1991 500SEL (W126). I am looking for a place that will inspect the gearbox as its out. Nothing wrong with it before I took the car off the road but want it inspected for peace of mind and whilst its off the car.

I have faulty seatbelt presenter on my 1987 420-SEC.
I'm trying to find out if the presenter mechanism is identical on all the W126 SECs or if it changed at all after the 1985 facelift?

Can anyone offer a definitive view on which fuels system is going to be on a 1990 420SE W126?
searching the web gives mixed results. One site says Bosch D, but that's referring to the older series of cars (W107 and W116)
Need to replace the joints at the chassis end of the guide/brake tube - anyone know if it can be done in situ, or do you have to remove half the suspension to get the thing out?
I've already sussed that I should measure it before taking it apart...

Hello peeps, can anyone advise if I need longer threaded bolts when fitting Aero 1 to a 89 SEC?
A trial fit earlier today suggests the standard bolts were fully engaged but the wheel was still loose.

Anyone care to suggest a good online source for bushes, joints etc. for the W126 front suspension?
looking around on fleabay all I find is stuff mis-labelled as W126 which is in fact for some other model.
Somewhere down the line, someone chopped of the original stereo plug and wired in a 12 pin pioneer one. Now the pioneer stereo is not working and I want to replace it.
How do you guys suggest I go about doing this properly? I'm thinking of wiring in a iso connector, has anyone done this...
Since I've had my 84 500 SEC the rev counter has never worked. Anyone have any ideas what it can be? I've yet to pull out the cluster to see if all is good there, but before I do that I wanted to check everything else.
I cannot figure out where the rev counter gets its signal from....
