I'm interested in nature and wildlife and like to think I have gathered a reasonable knowledge over the years. A few weeks ago, I spotted something on a local footpath that (especially at first sight) had me flummoxed and wary. Was it a snake? This is the view from above...

Yesterday, I took the Merc out for a pleasent jolly along a Norfolk A-Road. The weather was perfect, all windows were dropped and the traffic was light. That is unit, while I'm plodding a long, a bird flies out in front of me and disappears out of sight. No feathers behind me, so I carry on...
