yellow or red

I've loaded up the new COMAND DVD v5.0. The TMC directed me around a jam on the M4 yesterday, which was nice. But, I'm somewhat perplexed by the yellow/red car displays. TMC seemed to be displaying a long jam southbound on the M40 this morning. But when I got there, the jam was northbound...
