Should have/be:
1. 4+ doors (2 doors can be, but, point 4 in capital letters)
2. Comfortable
3. 2000+ ccm
4. Uncommon but reliable

I want to treat myself but can't find a car within budget on the market.
Any idea?

I wouldn't buy a W8. Weird and wonderful, but I don't think even VW know how to fix them now..

Cheers,

Gaz

Citroen C6. Jag twin turbo diesel.....

Mondeo ST220, there's more Aston Martins on the road than ST220's, 3 litre V6, 224 BHP, 5 door, good ones are well within you're budget and cheap enough to run. I had one for 8 years, loved it, till I found the C63 of course.

Saab 9-5. Turbo Edition or Aero.

^^this^^ get an Aero 2.3 turbo and do a stage 1 remap (£80) 275bhp and 420nm of torques = fun..

Couldn`t agree more regarding the Saab , the estate is a good looking wagon if you want practicality , the seats in the Aero are sublime , loads of room front + rear.

Downside , a bit thirsty and no main dealer to fall back on but the cars you are looking at it wont be an issue plus there are loads of indy specialists around.

I had a 9-3 Aero for seven years and loved it.

Kenny.

Uncommon, 4 door & 4k? The only one I think of that comes close is a Lexus GS430.

I have been put off Alfa 75s for one reason.

I do like the cars and indeed nearly bought one a few decades ago, but got an Audi 80E instead. It came with one of those useless warranties, but the exclusions in the small print were interesting.

Apart from the exotica such as Roll Royce etc., they singled out Aston Martins and Alfa 75s as not covered. Not Alfa Romeos, just the 75.
