Hi all

I am offering an award to anyone who can fix my car

The reward is on top of parts and labour

Basicley I have trouble with my airmatic

Sometimes about once or twice a week I start the car and drive off and the rear of the car both sides drops completely it stays down for about 20 mins of driving then the dash says car too low and it rises again and all works ok till next time

I have been to two indies and no air leaks have been detected
I have replaced the rear level sensor but this has not done anything

So please can any one help

Thanks
Kristian

Does sound odd... But no one can help without getting it on to a star and reading the codes and carrying out some tests.

seems a more electronic issue rather than the air matic itself? get car on a diagnostic

does sound electrical, maybe chaffed wire somewhere?

where are you based Kristian, maybe we can recommend a good indi?

Intermittent electrical/electronic fault I reckon.

These are notoriously hard to diagnose directly as they will not be present at the time of diagnosis, hence why STAR has thrown up nothing and if the 'fault' is only effecting 'normal adjustment' then will never show up on a Diag fault log.

Could it be moisture related ?

My W220 dropped on one side completely after it was pressure washed.

Turned out one of the level sensors had got water into the plug.

Once it was thoroughly dried the car worked fine.
