Hi,
Tried search and not found anything that fixes this, so hoping someone can help
Essentially, symptoms are that none of the dome lights - either map light, door sensitive lights or the two lights in the trim on top of the windscreen, etc. come on and the remote central locking no longer works. The little lights underneath the doors still work and I've checked the bulbs in the dome and they all seem fine when I put voltage across them.
The main plug in the dome has the permanent 12V on the Red/Blue wire, so I'm guessing it's not a fuse issue, although I've checked all the fuses anyway and they tested fine.
I had unplugged the battery while working on the car (this was when the trouble started), and had the fun of my daughter closing the boot, so had to use the 12V port under the bonnet to get enough power to open it again - is it possible that by doing this I might have blown the circuit in the dome light? I believe they're relatively fragile and it might explain the lack of remote RF central locking (the IR still works) and the lights all not functioning?
Cheers,
Craig
