'03 C180 Classic front door speaker replacement

Hi all,
I've found that the front passenger door bass speaker on my 'new' car is apparently shot. Is it an easy job to get into the speaker housing to replace please? Any pointers appreciated.

PM me buddy I have a spare brand new Mercedes one (will let it go dirt cheap) that I was going to fit to my old merc before it was stolen you do need to glue them on (like with a hot glue gun) but taking the door card off is not hard at all

Many thanks for your offer, but to my surprise the dealer I bought it from has agreed to fit a new speaker, and although I won't know what they fit, it's not going to cost me anything! Speaker technology has come on leaps and bounds in the last ten years, so it wouldn't surprise me if even a cheap Chinese jobby is equally as good as the original Merc one. I know this is next to sacrilege, and I would of course prefer an original Merc part, but at least it can't be seen!

No worries buddy I got it for my CLC a week before it got stolen so was wiling to let it go cheap to a fellow mbclub member but hey your getting it fixed for free which is good

Hi Squabz, no, I tried that as well as going into your profile and statistics tab. I'm guessing maybe it's because I don't have enough posts yet?
Anyway, it's not a problem at the moment.
