I'd call BS on that. No insurer is likely to write off a (£70k+?) car for stolen audio/ICE equipment at 1-2 years old.

The car was probably stolen/recovered or accident damaged - he doesn't list what category it is under?

Still - £6.5k is cheap for a ~ 9 year old CL - but then they always have dropped big money.

My CLK55 AMG was seven and a bit years old when I bought it - clean enough car, 70k miles with full MBSH etc - that had lost £55k+ before I bought it.

Anything complex/big engined etc seems to be worthless these days.
