Hoping someone can help me. I have an 06 Vito van with a few issues. Its a workhorse so I am not precious about it but these would be useful to fix:
When i try to raise or lower the drivers window it clicks and starts to lower but then clicks and stops after a few inches. release the botton and press it again and it does the same. it takes about 6/7 clicks to get it to lower completely. It takes 7/8 to raise it. It always seems to be the same number of clicks and stop in the same places.
My second issue is lights, when i switch on the main lights there is a short pause before the lights come on, is that usual.
Also the dashboard illumination lights now dont work. not sure why. I have no maunal but I have looked up fuses and cant figur eout which one controls the backlighting (all the warning lights work fine) thought it was fuse 13 but its ok and the rest seem ok. Could it be a faulty switch. the air and heat switches dont light up either.
any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated. cheers. Sean

Hi & welcome.

Slight delay with the headlights coming on is normal.

Instrument lights - I assume you've tried playing with the brightness?

On the windows, problems with the regulators are quite common (both of mine had to be replaced) ... from your description that may well be the issue. Does it make any difference if you're using the first or second ('one shot') position on the switch? Doubt it will help but try 'reprogramming' by getting the window all the way up and then holding the switch in the up position for 5 sec or so.

Both my window switches can be a bit erratic sometimes - IMO it doesn't help that they get wet when you open the door in the rain!

cheers for the prompt reply.
I dont actually know how to adjust the brightness! i cant find a nob to twist?
windows. it doesnt make a difference which position i use 1 or 2. sounds like it might be the regulator.

cheers

Feeling stupid but have now found an online manual and realised where the brightness control buttons are at last... now have to wait till its dark to see if that solves the pronlem!
also need to fit a replacement regulator to the windows. looks like a pleasant afternoons work. Oh well, cheape than the local garage i suppose. lol

Hi Sean - I have an 06 Vito 639, and the passenger-side window doesn't work. The motor is trying to do something, but nothing happens. Be good to know how you get on replacing yours - if it's easy I'll do mine myself, too.
