Hi, I'm not sure if this is electrical or engine, here goes. A few weeks ago after a wet trip down the M6 I turned off. As I went round the first roundabout and put my foot down on the way out the car started lurching as if trying to stall. Once going I had no problem 'till the next r'about, same thing. I have substituted an airflow meter and that doesn't appear to be a problem. The car is not trying to cut out/stall. Also at the same time as this started there is a loud wining/whirring coming from the back end. Possibly the fuel pump or accumulator? Any ideas?
Many thanks

Does this model have Traction control??

Lumpy 124

Set out for Aldershot today from Lancashire, got to High Wycombe and the car finaly ground to a halt. After a long ride back to Bootle c/o RAC and a check out it would appear that one of the two fuel pumps is knackered. The wining noise is the second fuel pump working hard whilst the first, due to terminally corroded contacts, does sod all.
Cheers
