Folks

I have an opportunity (maybe) to get a full leather interior for my 124 estate. This includes carpets, door cards, all 7 seats boot panels etc.

Is this a mahoosive task to undertake on my own. Or. Is it a pain but can be done.

Has anybody done it?

Nope, but its something I will be doing as soon as I can get my hands on a complete mint beige interior for an estate.

Here is whats involved...

Hmm. I have a beige interior but it is cloth and needs a deep clean and drivers seat bolster recovered/repaired.

The interior I may get is black but in excellent condition so I am very tempted.

Love your car it really is a stunning looking bit of kit.

An interior swop won't be that hard but a colour change would be a huge task

Hmmm. I was wondering about black leather seats on beige carpets?

I may just invest in getting the interior deep cleaned (it got mouldy when the car was left to stand) The cause of the mould has been repaired by CLK Clive.

Oh I also need a replacement gearbox as my reverse is knackered.

Joy.

I love the car so will keep at it. I love it way too much for my own wallet.

I actually like black, grey and beige interiors with the burlwood trim...looks classy! Right now mines beige with black carbon fibre trim. A lot of the interior is now showing its age, including the door cards, carpets and some pillar panels. I like everything new new! :)

I'm doing my saloon just now, it's sitting outside with just the driver's seat in it.
Not been a huge task so far, loads of guides and YouTube videos showing what to do.

RE the black leather and beige carpets: I saw photos of that colour combo on a US MB forum and that made me keep looking for the beige leather.

Can the whole dashboard with the dash compartment in it be replaced for one with the SRS airbag? (even if you dont use the airbag).

It just looks so much more better than with the compartment. The compartment key lock on the dash just doesn't look right.
