I want to tidy up the mirrors on my 300CE. I have removed them from the car and want to sand and spray them.
Does the glass lever out and do the covers unclip ??
Any advise appreciated.

The glass comes out- there's two little ball ended actuators/motors that clip into sockets on the reverse of the mirror and a plug connection on a wire for the electrics irrc best to tilt the mirror fully inwards which will allow you get a broad soft spatula type device in behind to pop the mirror off- just easy does it!! The covers don't come off easily removing them is likely to mark them so I would paint in situ.
