124 rear wiper trim

When I bought my W124 Estate it was missing the interior plastic trim that covers the rear wiper mechanism. I now have this trim and need to fit it.

It would appear that I need to take off the main trim from the boot door/tailgate, to do this. Can anyone advise how best to go about this, as it seems securely fixed and I don't want to cause damage in my ignorance.

Just been out and had a look at mine and I think you are right.

20 odd year old plastic "push-clips" may not survive being taken out and put back in again. A few of mine are in need of replacing but I leave well alone.

Gently would be our watch word. Unless others pop along and have some Disney Dust to sprinkle on the situation.
