126 fire extinguisher location?

Hey everybody.

Does anybody happen to know where the fire extinguisher lives in a c126? Apparently, its supposed to be at the bottom of the passenger seat, thats all it says in the manual.

But I can't find anything that looks like a fire extinguisher fits into it under the passenger seat. There is just the seat electronics and stuff, no fire extinguisher mounting points under there!

So does anybody know where it lives, and exactly how its mounted?

There should be a large plastic clip that fitted to the front bottom of the passenger seat. It'll be colour coded to the carpet.
Mines 250 miles away or I'd attach a photo.

Oh, I didn't realize some were not fitted with one?

I thought all Mercedes cars came out the factory with their complementary first aid kit fire extinguisher warning triangle and some other stuff, because its mandatory in Europe?

Mine has the first aid kit, the triangle, all the other stuff, and the manual mentions a fire extinguisher, so I assumed it should have one.

The triangle etc were standard but the fire ext was an option

When you purchase the Gloria fire extinguisher it should come with a plastic bracket as shown in the below link:

This can be attached to the front of the seat frame with self tapping screws.
Typically it is attached to the drivers seat base.

I have the part numbers for the W201 and W124 OEM mounts, probably about 50 sterling. I used these parts to attach in my C124 with Recaro C's.
You can look up in the UK EPC the correct part numbers for the W126.
