126 go to heaven

The first one has rust and scuffs, a cloth interior, has covered nearly 100k miles, and is worth nearer to £2000 than £4500.

The price of the second one is simply ludicrous.

The first one would be on for 6k+ at a dealer. I suspect one might haggle down a bit, but I think both will go for close to their asking price. A nearly mint 126 is a sought after rarity.

I agree, I had the 560 SEL, a great car. The second one looks like it's been looked after a real enthusiast.

i sold my 27k miles concours 380 sel 4 years ago for £6k

irony is that being honest about bodywork even minor sounding stuff like a bumper scuff will put a buyer off, wheras those who dont tell the truth even in the follow up phone call will often have people crossing the country on the promise of a minter... Last time it happened to me I demanded the bloke pay me petrol on account he told me the car was "spotless perfect" and it was flaking all over. Rather I hear it first up in the advert!
