Ihave a 1983 380SEC.Was 15inch BUNDT FUCHS wheels a genuine option? Some people say that they only came with 14inch rims and 15inch were only for cars from 1985 onwards. However I believe that one could buy 15inch as a genuine accessory. What is correct? Please help.If I fitted 15inch BUNDTS FUCHS part no 1264002202 would it be wrong.?

Sorry should have been clearer- There was a 15 inch FUCHS wheel as you said correctly. Notice it had a slightly different offset 25 instead of 30.

What does 25 instead of 30 mean?
Will they fit a 126 1983 380SEC ?& will it be correct?

25 and 30 refer to the offset of the rim. The amount by which the inner mounting face is distant from the centreline of the wheel in MM. So a lesser offset or ET (this will be cast on the inner face) will protrude further out in the wheelarch.

The EPC (part catalogue) shows an option for a 15" fuchs alloy for the 380SEC as part number A126 400 27 02 superceded by A126 400 37 02.

Your A126 400 22 02 is shown as fitting a 420 or 500 SE and SEL only.

This is not to say they wont fit your 380...it just doesn't list them as such.

Don't the 123 limos have 15" wheels?

Yes, and the 600 and Grosser. I'm in the lucky position to have 4 nearly new 15" stainless wheel trims from a 600 and am now looking for steel rims to suit the 107. These look lovely with the chrome/painted trims along with whitewalls. Not many steel rims out there with the reqd deep dish to receive the trim's clips.

Thanks for all the information.
What size

What size tyres does one fit onto rims 1264002202?
Are the wheelstuds different?
Can one say with certainty that 15inch BUNDT FUCHS rims were definitely available as an accessory for a 126 380sec in 1983.Not as an option but as an accessory?
Thanks,
Hilton Wolff.

Well they certainly wouldn't have been an accessory. I suggest an 'accessory' is something like a sunglasses holder? A build option possibly. Bolts have to protrude approx 1/2" through the wheel centre to be safe but not much more or they will foul the park brake. That's more of a trial and error question that's unlikely anyone can answer with certainty.
