Hi guys,

I want to upgrade my wheels from 17” to 19” I want to go black but not a clue on what type to go for any one with the same car with same wheels

Welcome to the forum Dean.

Mercedes 19" alloys are rather expensive, so if you don't mind aftermarket brands I'd look at something like these. AMG alloys do have a reputation for cracking, so aftermarket may be a good choice.

Alloy Wheels 4 x 19" C63 AMG Style Black/Pol 8j & 9j Mercedes C-Class W204 W205 | eBay

You'll have to add another £600 or so for decent 19" tyres too.

Thanks mate! Just checked these out there pretty nice but still don’t know whether to go for multi spoke or something a little less. What tyres would you recommend I buy with 19” inch wheels and where’s the best place to order them from ?

It's all about personal tastes with wheels, imo
19s won't ruin the ride, don't like black wheels, multi spoke wheels nice but a pain in @rse to clean, nice simple silver 5 spokes, look great and a doddle to clean. Got 19s
on mine and it's lowered, the rides fine. :)

I have 19s on my E 350 coupe they do make for a harder ride, but with adaptive suspension not too bad, they do crack easily I cracked one of mine MB wanted £600 to replace, phew, the tyer walls are only 35 and 30 so it doesn't take muçh on a pothole. My other coupe came with 18s which were much more comfortable, and looked nice. That said, I did get mine tig welded for £30 at a local metal fabricators, and sold it on for £125 plus postage to a man in Greece. Five spoke 18s look nice imo.mine are 7 spoke amgs came with the car look the part but be aware.

Depends on the width of the rims you decide on but with 8j front and 9j rear I'd fit 235x35x19 front and 255x30x19 rears, same as a W204 C63.

Upgrades just the look , consequences are dynamic loses .

Going in the other direction (increasing profile), at what point do the comfort gains stop and illhandling/imprecise steering star to intervene? At what point does fuel economy start to suffer (or is that confined/due to the more aggressive treads of some all terrain tyres)? Where's the sweet spot that maximises comfort, handling/steering, fuel efficiency - is it as high as 70% aspect ratio - as fitted to many medium/large SUVs?
