Hello, I've just bought a really good rust free low mileage 1997 250TD estate and I'm looking to build an OEM+ style car. Subtle factory looking mods.

First plans are some coil overs to lower it a little, probably 50mm, and big brakes. I have seen I can fit the C32 brakes to the front, but I will obviously need some larger wheels to go over them. I love the look of the 17 x 6.5 inch Vito steels, (though ET50, standard ET is 37mm). Has anyone ever fitted the Vito wheels? I know they need 14mm studs and probably spacers?

The C32s had 17 in17-inch-vito-steel-wheel.jpgch wheels from the factory, so I'm assuming the brakes would go under these? New they're £52 each. I'd powdercoat them white, same as the car. Any idea of optimum tyre size for handling? I'd be surprised if no one had tried these. Thanks!

I was thinking 205/50/17? That's within 1% of the original rolling radius.
