Will a set of 18" rims fit my 95 C Class without any modification?.Have tried searching but cant seem to find the answer.

Depends if you are going to lower it aswell, if not they will go straight on no bother....

Thanks. No dont inted on lowering. Now all I need to do is save some money :bannana:

It is normally always the width that causes problems, generally not anything to do with the diameter, as that will stay fairly close to the same, with lower profile tyres...

Watch out!!! I have 18's on my esprit (which we all know is lowered 30/40mm by merc compared to the standard/classic model). They do fit 18-inch wide-wise, but they are a little wide and the forwards arches needed mroe rolling and flaring to get a snug fit. Also you might touch some of the plastic flaps inside the arches if theyre too "thick" (wby thick I mean the width from the inside to the outside). I can send pics of the parts that used to rub if you want, I still have them lying around somehwere....

As V12 says it's all down to the width of the tyre/wheel combination, because you're going to select a tyre of lower profile that maintains the same rolling radius of the standard tyres. (Preferably within 1% or your cruise contro may not work for some reason). If the wheels are the same width as the standard then obviously the amount of arch that the wheel/tyre combination fills will be no different from the smaller wheels.

Most wheel shops say anything 5% either way is acceptable, within 2% is always preferable.

I've never experienced any problems with cruise control before and i've messed with lots of wheel combo's

wonder if that's why my cruise control has gone a bit nutso. It's fine up to about 60mph but any speed above that and it disengages itself after about a minute. I've gone from 225/45 x 17(7.5 x 17") fronts to 225/40 x 18(8 x 18") and 245/40 x 17(8.5 x 18") rears to 255/35 x 18(9 x 18").

Can the cruise control be recalibrated?
