Hi All,

looking for advice:

my W210 E320cdi Elegance currently has 16" rims on, but I am just about to pick up some 18" rims for it. Will it be better off with the suspension lowering a bit to give it a better look and handling ???

The wheels are 18x8.5 ET35 with 225/40x18 tyres ( i know that generally the size is a 235/40 but 225/40 was a fitment)

If the general view is to lower then please can someone suggest the size of spring (even a part #) and/or shim.

Also would it be a good idea to fit spacers ???

Mine got 18s and to the best of my knowledge the susp is std avantgarde and looks fine.

Ride will quite a bit harder and you will have to learn to avoid the potholes!

18 x 8.5j will fit fine without spacers.
The wheels will look a bit funny with elegance springs, but will look great with avantgarde springs...Before you change the springs make sure you're happy with the ride of the 18's!
