Don't understand why they didn't use a 2.5-16 EVOII or an early 2.3 M3. Still, the 2.3-16 fairs very well and that motoring hack easy to listen too. Hope he get's his gear linkage sorted.

Even a bog standard M3 is in the 20k territory now and Sport Evos start in the high 30s. I wouldn't want to drive an M3 daily, I mean to find out how easy it is to live with a Cosworth.

No problems using the Merc as even a daily driver, the M3, well it has a fair few short comings in that dept imo. Not knocking the M3, as I'm a big fan too, it's more focused and thus it has a limited ****nal. A top notch 2.5-16 for 8-10k or an o.k. M3 for 18-20k? No brainer in my book.

Of the two, I'd have the Mercedes.

Maybe not in hearing aid beige though....

Reference the M3 values: The problem when cars become 'over valued' is that they stop being used, or used significantly less than if the same car was a lot cheaper. Where's the fun in owning a car too valuable to drive? The 190 16v remains a car that can be driven every day, which makes it the 'better' car.
