190E 2.5 evo or SL60 AMG 129

They will if you pay anything like those asking prices

If its a second /third car, nice weather etc then I see no point in a 4 door saloon, as nice as it maybe and I like the 2.5 16's especially the Evo II's :)

So the SL for me roof down, that's what I would have in the garage :)

Never seen a 60 without the body work before...

Yup, "AMG Body Styling Kit" (option 772) is standard on the SL60 - according to my 1996 price list. There's another current thread on that car here. Replica wheels and lack of body kit would concern me.

If what you say is right Bill (ie it's standard) then presumably it's either not an SL60 or for some reason the body kit has been taken off.....seems a bit odd

Maybe been stolen recovered , and the wheels and kit were stripped off it and it has been repaired on the cheap when they discovered the price of AMG parts ?

The bodykit was standard on the facelift (1996 onwards) but I think it was optional before that. It would have had proper AMG wheels though. £15K is too much.

Mmmm forgetting the bling factor for a moment

LHD manual car V RHD automatic ??

SL enthusiasts might argue the SL60 was "4 cylinders too far" for the chassis and although great in a straight line it was too nose heavy in the handling department.:dk:

It's a V8 isn't it ?

Do the enthusiasts think that the SL should never have had bigger than a 4 pot in it ?
