190e-34K-1 Owner

Looks quite clean, drivers seat needs a bit of a clean and the boot badge is missing and there's a dent in the left side of the lid. Hopefully is genuine mileage, if so will probably be snapped up by the likes of Charles Ironside. :)

Would love to know what date is showing on the last service.....I suspect it was a long time ago and if so, I would want some old MOT slips to back up the mileage.

Real shame its a manual.......oops .....|Its an auto....even better !

You need to adjust your glasses, it's a auto

The engine bay and driver's seat have had a hard life for 34K miles. Look how much dirt is on the PAS fluid holder.
Could be genuine but you'd have to check it out very carefully.

Best thing to do would be to run an HPI check...I note in the write up it says that this has been done and that its accident free and free of finance but does not say whether the mileage has checked out....which is odd, as all HPI reports state whether there is any mileage discrepancy and I note that nothing was mentioned on the add......if there was no discrepancy I would have thought that this would have been mentioned seeing as accident free and finance free is specifically mentioned.

UPDATE; I sent an e-mail to the seller asking what the date of the last service stamp shows in the service book....reply...1993....15 years ago!!!!!....no MOT slips since then......Genuine Mileage.....I think not!

So he is selling the car witha FMBSH but the last service was in 1993 ??????

Thats hardly a FMBSH !

I've owned so many 190s I can't remember them all & I've found the best ones to have been the one's used quite hard. If they're serviced, have good coolant & oil, not allowed to get hot & warmed up first you can drive the ****** off them with no ill effects. They thrive on it.

It's the low mileage, pampered, never driven above 4,000 rpm ones that have problems. It may sound odd, but I'd rather have a properly serviced & regularly used one with 134,000 than this seized & dry specimen with an alleged 34,000 & years of inactivity.

In his Questions
"Q: Hi, What date was the last service? Ta.
A: Around 9 years ago,but the cars hardly been used since."

9 or 15 years - doesn't make any difference, it's too long by a factor of nearly a decade at least.
It doesn't look like a 34K car & doesn't have the look of a cherished low mileage car. Buying big problems with this one I'd say.

Sold for £2,000, down from £3,100 the first time at.

Still too much I think.
