190E limited edition

Yes :)

Also referred to sometimes as an 'LE'

metallic violet!!

Yes. It was the "runout" model. Desirable because it was among the last 190,s manufactured. I think they were available in 2.0 and 1.8 litre 4 cylinder forms and had some electric "goodies" They came in a lurid metalic violet colour(VIOLAN 339) I think :o but if you can stand that they would be a good buy probably.;) HERES AN EXAMPLE http://www.compucars.co.uk/vehicle-...ansmission=&intMax=&intMin=&RSPage=1&ID=78874

Thank goodness for that:o

Azzuro blue they call that purple colour, I think.

Almandine was a standard colour & one of the 4 colours 2.5-16s were availalble in, not an LE colour.

They did a v. rich metallic wine colour called Rosso Red & a bright silver, possibly Astral silver.

Neil - what was the 4th colour for 2.5s? I'm thinking silver, almandine and blue-black?

Earlier 2.3s were offered in smoke silver I think :)

The 4th 2.5-16 colour was smoke silver.

2.3s were only sold in smoke silver or blue-black.

Hardly ever see silver 2.5-16s, the other colours are more common.

I'm thinking 2.3-16 - sold in smoke silver and blue black - yep
2.5-16 - sold in blue black, almandine and a different shade of silver to the earlier 2.3s (Astral?)
Were 2.5-16s definately available in two different silvers then - 'astral' and 'smoke'?

How can I find out if my 190e is the run out model?

By the 190LE badge on the boot or the burr walnut instead of the zebrano. LE's originally came with a certificate so have a look in the documents

Interior should look like this

190le

Looks like my 190E just missed the LE list. It was registered in May 1993 and have the details as listed. It is in metallic Avantgarde Red and has an electric sunroof. I shall post a photo of it in the future and intend to sell it in a year's or two's time. So far it has about 54k on the clock and I am the third owner. Thank you all.
