Hi All,

Sorry know its been done to death and you are all sick of 190e engine swaps but just wanted to get some advice and confirmations.

So I have a 1993 2ltr 5 speed manual. I don't need it as a daily and would like to make it my current long term project.

So the route I'm leaning towards heading down is the M111/K, now from looking the issues with this swap are below:
  • Wiring - Standalone ECU is the common choice and allows for future turbo support but you can merge the original loom with the SLK one but it takes some work. I've seen it mentioned that an earlier non facelift model of the SLK can make this easier but haven't been able to find much info on this, so any further info on this would be great help.

  • Engine Mounts - I understand the current mounts wont work but from what I've seen the w124 e220 mounts should work with the car and the engine, is this correct?

  • Transmission - Now should I go with a 2.3 SLK (commonly auto is the cheaper route) I believe need an alternative flywheel (pre-facelift 2.3slk 5 speed manual to be specific) from some youtube videos I've seen as well as release bearings, pressure plates, clutch and clutch fork (again manual SLK). Is there an alternative option to this?
I think this is all for that swap, please can you let me know if I'm missing anything.

Now I have also seen a couple of mentions of a swap using the M112 V6 engine however cant find information on this swap what's the best route and what's needed it is something that interests me but want to see if some more info can be gathered.

Thanks in advance for any comments and help anyone can provide.
