190e Rear Fog Lights

Got the 190e back from MOT and the guy said one of the rear fogs had gone, passenger side.

I decide to get a new bulb, but when I go to fit it, I notice that theres no botton spring clip, I investigate further, and notice the harness and plug are both missing a wire/connector, so it would seem this side has never been wired up.

Question is, is this normal?

For a German car, yes. They all only have one rear fog light.

Isn't it so people don't mistake rear fogs for brake lights, or something like that

Anyway, as DM says - perfectly normal. Strange that a the MOT tester didn't know that - surely they see quite a few MBs and other German cars?

Just spoke to guy, he did mean just the one was out on drivers side, which I must had fixed messing with bubls when I was comparing sides, bulbs had a little dusty white buildup, the boot has been leaking during the rainiy days, think the water is getting in through the spoiler.

as others have said, only suppose to have 1 (my MOT place actually hooked up a 2nd!!!! lol)

its so drivers behind you dont mistake you for an on coming car if your reversing
