Various.
I've bought a black leather Sportline interior which comes with an E reg, pre-facelift 190E 2.6. The plan is to translant it into my G reg post facelift Sportline suspensioned 2.0 which has a standard black cloth interior.

A straight swop which will give my Arctic white 190E the very rare option of having both Sportline suspension & black leather Sportline interior, & the older 2.6 an immaculate black cloth interior.

Somewhere in the back of my mind I recall that the runners or seat base is different pre & post facelift. Naturally, I recalled this after buying the 2.6.

Does anyone know if it can be done and what it entails? Has anyone done it?

I am sure from memory that there are a few differences - the front seats mount at an angle on the later cars compared to the earlier ones, and possibly the rear seat base is different?

You may be able to swap the front seat bases over at least if this proves a nightmare?

Good luck :)

Hi again Neil, sorry I havent been on here for a few days, congrats on your new interior, the swap is a doddle, the front seats are a straight swap. The fixings and mounts are identical, just be carefull when loosening the seat belt rail to transmission tunnell fixings particularly on the older car!. These sometimes corroad into the captive nut and need to be eased back and forth to prevent shearing off. The rear seat on early cars is longer from front to back it will fit into a 88my on seat pan but will need a lot of persaution to clip down at the front. One thing that does confuse me is that the Sportline was only available from 89my on, I think either the interior has been retroed from a late car or it is a 16v interior? Cheers Linds
