Thought I would drop a line to let others know symptoms and cure on sickly engine.
Motor has been experiencing hissing sound, especially on start up. Water been used at about a litre per week. On inspection saw drips being thrown by wheels towrds front of engine - external leak. Took to garage and cured by new water pump.
Job done.
