If you were willing to forgo the thrilling, edge of the seat, Monaco GP, there was a great show at M-B World at Brooklands. 30+ 190SLs, plus, in the building, a rolling chassis of a 300SL.

More images here: 190 SL

including a couple of shots of the chassis. There's also a brief video.

I'm a bit of an F1 nerd and have been since my first GP in 1966 - Brands Hatch. I was irritated to find the 190SL Day meant I had a choice. There's something wrong with F1 when someone as passionate about the sport as I am opted for a trip to see some old cars. Not to mention that I don't regret it.

Some good shots there Derek so thanks for posting. I was there too but you beat me to it. What about the cars that came from Europe- one from Switzerland and another from France- superb. 41 SL 190's in total attended.

Thanks for the official number of attendees. A great turnout.

I assume you saw the 300SL rolling chassis?

There was a supercharged 190SL where the owner, not the car, had flown in from Munich that morning. Pictures on the link.

Great weather too. The wind made it more comfortable, and not only because the spray from the skid pan was blown into the display.
