i have a 1965 200. its done well under 30000 from new only been used twice in the last 15 years. trouble is its been sitting on my drive in the open for the last four years and the weather is starting to get at it. there is a little rust starting where the paint has lifted in a few places, but there is no damage to any of the bodywork the interior is in great condition and i belive it could be driven away. i am not so much intrested in a sale as such, but would like it to be given a good home where someone could return it to as new. any one intrested let me know.

I would certainly be interested :D

I have a love of the older shape tailfins - and just thought I would never find one that
a) I could afford
b) if I found one I could afford it it would be worth saving !

I'm in Essex and would love to have a look at it !

The tailfin or "Heckflosse" as it was known was made between 1959 and 1968 it was a very forward car for its time

A bit lacking in toys compared with what i'm used to - but I really dont mind winding my own windows !!!

I think it would be great if one of us could take up Bob's kind offer and restore this car.

Go for it Mark!

It needs a little something though.............

No big allys, no turbos, no boy racer bits !!

It hopefully just requires a lot of TLC and a few weeks in my cousins paint shop!

Mechanically - it couldnt be much simpler - carbs, points, all easy things to deal with! Engine and box are within the realms of the home mechanic and would pose me no problems at all.

Spares are a little thin on the ground these days - but absolutely everything is available from specialist clubs in Germany - at a price !

If it's not an auto, dont touch it, not even for free.

LOL, sorry taking the pi55. Linky
